You may not recognize it but what you see is step one of Bonnie Hunter’s annual mystery quilt that occurs at this time every year. I just could not resist and I can’t even explain it? I’m puzzled by it myself, as I truly have more urgent projects that require my attention but I tried… truly I did… but to no avail…
I think it was due to the fun I had with the Secret Santa Quilt-along, because as soon as it was a complete top I jumped on board for Quiltville’s Good Fortune. I had been lurking around, checking out what others were doing and seeing all those tiny four patches just became too irresistable. I have to admit that I didn’t get excited when the colours were originally posted in the introduction but as soon as I started thinking in a different palette, well, that was the game changer. I’m sort of making it up as I go along and I’m loving the process so much. It feels like a mental vacation, peaceful and serene, while I’m working through the steps, and I’ve accomplished so much even though I got a late start. Steps one and two are all done and as of last night, I’m onto step three. Keep checking back for more photos next week.
as always, carol
You are definitely cra-cra!!!!! I had to laugh out loud when I saw this post. Loving the colours though. xoxo
Tammy, you make me giggle! Truth is, I almost didn’t post about this one. Perhaps I’m experiencing some ‘quilt shame’ in response to all my recent start-ups. Hugs, carol xox
